It’s
now vividly clear that the Nigerian economy is now focusing agricultural commodities
exportation which has not been given enough consideration for a very long time.
The Nigerian economy has been majorly sustaining on OIL EXPORT which has
capsize our currency from $1=N1 in those days, to $1=N500 nowadays. Right now, serious
investors are shifting to NON-OIL COMMODITY EXPORT. There is a saying that “as
time goes on, the world shift”. And “the only permanent thing is CHANGE”.
Therefore, every good investor will move with the trend. The current trend is
NON-OIL COMMODITY EXPORT/AGRICULTURAL COMMODITY EXPORT. In this report, we we
will be discussing a particular agricultural commodity popularly called “Kosso
Wood”.

Leaf fodder silvopastoral systems: Kosso tree provides high-quality leaf fodder with
an average nutritive value in dry matter of 5.3 MJ kg-1 net energy,
16–19% crude protein, and 0.15% phosphorus. Pastoralists traditionally lopped
wild trees in silvopastoral systems to feed their livestock during the dry
season. Increasingly, this fodder is brought to urban and semi-urban markets
for sale.
Other uses: Medicinal uses are many, including the use of leaves as a
febrifuge, the bark for tooth and mouth troubles, and bark and resin as
